Jamie Oliver's Ministry Of Food

World renowned chef Jamie Oliver has just opened the first of what he hopes will be many Ministry of Food shops in Rotherham. Atrium design were delighted to have been chosen by Jamie's company to supply and fit the kitchens and accessories for this ground breaking shop.
Jamie Oliver's aim is to get people back to basics and is inspired by the Ministry of Food during World War 2 Britain which aimed to help reduce malnutrition. His plans are to teach people to cook healthily and on a budget and go home and teach others.
Atrium were asked to complete the whole kitchen within 2 weeks to get this project started. As the shop will be used for filming Jamie Oliver's new series for Channel 4, to be aired in September this year. With this in mind a light colour was chosen for the kitchen. The door style is one unique to atrium design and comprises a wide range of appliances from CDA and solid wood worktops.
